FAQs

Below are some of the common questions you may have. If a question is not listed we are more than happy to discuss this with you with phone or email.

  • What courses do you offer?

We offer a wide range of First Aid and workplace training courses for individuals, businesses, schools and healthcare professionals.

Our First Aid courses include First Aid at Work, Emergency First Aid at Work, Paediatric First Aid, CPR and Basic Life Support, Immediate Life Support (ILS) for healthcare professionals and dental clinicians, and Anaphylaxis Awareness for Schools, in line with Benedict’s Law.

We also provide Fire Safety, Evacuation Chair, Mental Health in the Workplace and Manual Handling training.

If you’re unsure which course is right for you or your organisation, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.

  • Are your courses accredited?

Yes. We are proud to be a Gold Standard Centre Provider through Pro Trainings Europe, and we also offer Ofqual-regulated qualifications through TQUK.

The accreditation or regulation applicable to each course can vary, so if you’re unsure which qualification or course you require, please contact us and we’ll be happy to advise you.

  • Do your courses meet HSE requirements?

Yes. Our workplace First Aid courses are designed to meet the requirements and guidance set out by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

It is important to note that the HSE does not approve or accredit First Aid training providers. Instead, employers have a responsibility to ensure that the First Aid training provided is appropriate and meets the relevant HSE requirements and guidance.

If you’re unsure which level of First Aid training your workplace requires, please contact us and we’ll be happy to advise you.

  • Do you Paediatric courses meet Ofsted requirements?

Yes. Our 12-hour Paediatric First Aid course meets the relevant requirements set out by Ofsted and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The course is available as both blended learning and fully face-to-face training.

It is important to note that Ofsted does not approve or accredit individual Paediatric First Aid training providers. Instead, the training must meet the requirements set out within the EYFS statutory framework.

If you’re unsure which Paediatric First Aid course you need for your setting, please contact us and we’ll be happy to advise you.

  • Where in Essex do you offer courses?

We run open First Aid and workplace training courses in Colchester, Chelmsford and Basildon.

We also offer on-site training for groups and organisations throughout Essex and further afield, making it convenient for your team to complete training at your own workplace.

If you’re looking for training at a specific location, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to discuss your requirements.

  • Do you offer advice if i don't know what i need?

Absolutely. We’re always happy to discuss your requirements and help you choose the most appropriate training course for you, your team or your organisation.

If you’re unsure which course you need, give us a call or get in touch. We’ll be happy to talk through your requirements and make sure you book the right training.

  • Do you train groups or businesses and offer on site training?

Yes. We provide group and workplace training at your premises throughout Essex and further afield, making it easy and convenient for your team to complete their training in the workplace.

All you need is a suitable space and facilities to accommodate the training. We’ll discuss your requirements with you in advance to make sure everything is in place.

If you don’t have suitable facilities to host the training, we can arrange group training at our Colchester or Basildon training venues at no additional cost.

Please get in touch to discuss your group training requirements and we’ll be happy to help.

  • How many people can you train?

We can accommodate both small and large groups, including schools, nurseries, businesses and other organisations.

To ensure the quality and effectiveness of our training, we follow the required instructor-to-learner ratios. For most courses, this is 1 instructor to 12 learners, although some courses allow a ratio of 1:15.

For larger groups, we can provide additional instructors where required, allowing us to train larger numbers while maintaining the appropriate ratios.

If you have a large group to train, please get in touch and we can discuss your requirements and arrange the most suitable training solution.

  • Will i recieve a certificate?

Yes. Upon successful completion of your course, you will receive a digital certificate confirming that you have completed the required training.

Certificates are issued automatically once the course has been completed and the class has been signed off, so you can receive your certificate without unnecessary delay.

If your training has been arranged and paid for by your employer, we can also provide a copy of your certificate to your employer where appropriate.

  • How long are certificates valid for?

The validity period of your certificate depends on the course you have completed.

Most of our First Aid qualifications are valid for three years, while some courses, including CPR and Basic Life Support and Immediate Life Support (ILS), are typically valid for one year.

We recommend checking the specific requirements for your role, workplace or organisation to ensure your training remains current. If you’re unsure when your certificate needs to be renewed, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to advise you.

  • How can i pay you?

We offer several convenient ways to pay for your training. You can pay by credit or debit card online or over the phone, or by bank transfer (BACS).

If you’re booking training for a business or organisation, please get in touch if you require an invoice or would like to discuss payment options.

  • How much does your training cost?

Our prices vary depending on the course you require. Open course prices range from £75.00 + VAT to £250.00 + VAT.

For group and on-site training, we provide a tailored quotation based on your requirements, including the number of delegates, course required and training location.

Please get in touch with us to discuss your requirements and we’ll be happy to provide an accurate, no-obligation quote.
