Established in 2012 ATH Training Group Ltd have been offering open First Aid Training courses throughout Essex as well as on site training for groups and businesses. Our open First Aid courses are held at our venues in  Basildon , Chelmsford and  Colchester , including Emergency First Aid at Work, First Aid at Work, Paediatric First Aid Training and CPR and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals and Dental staff.


Our accredited  workplace First Aid training courses fully met the requirements set out by the  HSE for workplace First Aidand will ensure that you and your business remain compliant with the most up to date First Aid skills. All of our training courses comply to the 2025 UK Resuscitation Council Guidelines and we use the latest state of the art equipment to ensure that everyone we teach leaves with the confidence that they could make a difference in a life threatening situation. This includes manikins that provide CPR feedback on chest compression depth, speed and release of the chest as well as the amount of oxygen put in per rescue breath.


Our Paediatric First Aid Training courses fully meet the requirements for First Aid in the child care setting from the Early Years Foundation Stage and OFSTED and can be completed as a two day classroom course or blended where day one is completed online through video based learning and day two in the class room. Both options fully meet OFSTED and EYFS requirements with the blended training designed to cut down on the time required to be spent in the class room.


We also offer CPR training suitable for any individual keen to learn life saving skills as well as healthcare professionals and dental staff who are required to complete their annual Basic Life Support updates.


Other training solutions that we offer include Fire Safety training, Manual Handling of Objects, Moving and Positioning of People, and Safeguarding of both children and vulnerable adults.

Emergency First Aid at Work Courses in Essex

We offer regular Emergency First Aid at Work training courses in   Basildon , Chelmsford and Colchester as well as providing on site training for groups and businesses. Just £100 + VAT per person to book onto an open course!


This one day basic First Aid Training course is aimed at personnel who are required to act as Emergency First Aiders in low risk environments.On this course we cover the most severe medical emergencies including heart attack, CPR including the use of an AED (defib) and much more. Once completed this course will provide delegates with a certificate valid for 3 years from the date of completion which meets the requirements set out by the HSE for workplace First Aid. First Aid at Work Courses in Essex

Our First Aid at Work courses are aimed at individuals and companies working where the risks or severity of injuries are far greater than more low risk environments such as an office. The FAW costs £250 + VAT per person to book onto an open course.

We hold monthly 3 day First Aid at Work courses in Basildon, Chelmsford and Colchester, where delegates will gain a certificate valid for 3 years from the date of completion which fully meets the requirements set out by the HSE for workplace First Aid.

First Aid at Work Re Qualification Courses in Essex

This course is only available to those who currently hold a valid First Aid at Work certificate, or a certificate that has not expired for longer than 28 days by the time you complete the training. Any delegates who do not meet this strict criteria can not be passed, and must complete the full First Aid at Work course again. The ReQualification costs £160 + VAT per person to book onto an open course and this includes the online part for blended courses.

We hold monthly First Aid at Work Re Qualification courses in Basildon, Chelmsford and Colchester and this course can either be completed as a 2 day class room course or a blended course where day 1 is completed online and then day 2 in the class room. 

Both the class room and blended First Aid at Work Re Qualification courses fully meet HSE requirements for workplace First Aid and will re certify delegates for a further 3 years from the date of completion.

Paediatric First Aid Courses in Essex

Our Paediatric First Aid Training in Essex fully meets the requirements of OFSTED and the Early Years Foundation Stage for Paediatric First Aid.

Our CPR and Basic Life Support courses are aimed at anyone wanting to learn vital life saving skills but may not require a workplace compliant certificate. 

As well as the general public, our CPR and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals, or Dentists will count for medical and healthcare professional mandatory annual CPR update and also carry CPD credits.

This course carries a certificate valid for 1 year, and complies with 2025 UK Resuscitation Council Guidelines, and costs £75 + VAT per person for an open course.

Fire Safety Courses in Essex

All businesses are required to appoint and train suitable personnel to act as Fire Marshals to help with both fire prevention as well as evacuation in the event of an emergency.
